And finally, Vegas in a nutshell (otherwise known as “answers to questions people ask about the trip”):

- Gambled $80, won $45
- Didn’t play poker or blackjack
- … because i hate those games
- Stayed at Mandalay Bay, beach was great – highly recommended
- Well, the taxis are ridiculously expensive
- … so are the drinks and food
- Southwest Airlines is the worst airline in the history of manned aviation – THAT’s what i think about the flight
- Never take the cards people hand you on the street
- … because you can’t afford it, that’s why
- yes, i went to “circus circus” casino, the one in “fear and loathing and las vegas”
- … no, it didn’t have a revolving bar or rabid badgers, but it did smell like stale smoke and shattered dreams

Notes to self for next Vegas vacation:
1. bring your own liquor
2. eat at the cheap hotels
3. gamble at penny slots and ALWAYS take the free drinks
4. charge it to your room
