I’m still sifting through my audio from Saturday’s Mike Doughty show, but I’ve managed to upload my photos and a pair of rough little video clips I recorded using Jessica’s camera. They came out well enough, I think.
It was a great show, and it was held nearly two years after we had seen him last in the very same venue. On both occasions, we left feeling like we loved his music even more than we did when we walked in. We picked up an official (read: non-bootleg) copy of his new album, Golden Delicious, on our way out. Jessica also bought a little pin that read, “I enjoy Mike Doughty. Yeah!”
At a time when tickets for professional sports events (or heck, even semi-professional sports events), arena concerts and even a trip to the movies can cost more than I pay for dental insurance in a month, it’s nice to find something we can both get out of the apartment and enjoy doing that costs less than we’d spend on dinner. I can’t recommend Mike Doughty enough… seriously.
