The new Tina Fey film Baby Mama hits theaters Friday night, April 25, and Jessica and I are both very excited about this film. In fact, it’s safe to say that we’ve been eagerly anticipating this film’s release for more than a year now - even before most people knew it existed.

In case you weren’t aware of this before now, Jessica’s kind of a big deal. And if you watch Baby Mama, you just might see her in it - or at least her hand, arm, back, shoulder, thighs or… well, her groin.

Yes, you read that correctly. But let me explain…

It just so happens that Jessica and Baby Mama star Amy Poehler wear the same size jeans, so when Jessica was on set doing some background work, she was chosen to serve as Poehler’s “photo double” for the scenes that could be filmed without showing Poehler’s character’s face. While most of the scenes they filmed with Jessica were the standard “pick up the book” or “sit still while we get this over-the-shoulder shot” scenarios, her last scene involved a hospital gown, a big needle and a set of stirrups. Me, I can only imagine how uncomfortable the standard trip to the gyno can be for a woman - now imagine lying there with a full camera crew hovering over your lower areas. She was fully clothed, of course, but it’s a great story that never ceases to crack us both up.

Here are some of the scenes to look for:

1. Amy Poehler’s character is watching an “Extreme Childbirth” DVD and is sitting in front of the television with her back to the camera. If you don’t see Poehler’s face, that’s Jessica!

2. Amy Poehler is being artificially inseminated - this is the crazy scene I mentioned earlier. When you don’t see Poehler’s face, that’s Jessica!

We’re planning to head ot the movies this weekend to see if any of Jessica’s scenes made it into the film… I’ll keep you posted!
