It seems like everyone I talk to these days is either looking for a job or offering one, so in the interest of helping them out, here are a few items of note:

ComicMix, or more importantly, the rapidly developing online publishing platform called Crowd Fusion that supports ComicMix, has reached the point in its growth where it could use a few more good people. Or possibly one good person. Or quite possibly a ninja.

Brian Alvey, one of the most online-savvy people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for, recently posted the following call for “Executive Assistant, Ninjas Wanted” on his website (which, by the way, also runs on Crowd Fusion):

Company: Crowd Fusion, Inc.
Job Title: Executive Assistant
Description: Work with CEO, on-site, 4 or 5 days a week to start. Although this position will be eventually be more ‘virtual’ it would be best if candidates lived in the NYC, Westchester/NY, Greenwich/CT area.

Skilled in as many of the following as possible:
IM, Gmail, Google Docs, feed readers, etc., Word, Excel, Photoshop, travel booking, online shopping/ordering, contact management, meeting scheduling, research, data scrubbing, application installations - Mac & Windows OSes, marketing presentations, home networking, backups, and bookkeeping.

Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
Education Level: College, or Equivalent
Job Type: Employee, Full Time

So if you think you have the chops, by all means go for it. He’s good people.

On a related note, I’m also looking for more contributors to join the ComicMix editorial team - mainly as bloggers, interviewers and news contributors at various events. If you have a way with the written word, feel comfortable working in an online environment and have the initiative to tell me what you think is newsworthy instead of what publishers and various companies tell you should be covered, let me know. ComicMix is growing quickly, and I’d love to hear from you.

Oh, and if you can fight off a crowd of armed assailants with a wireless mouse, that’s bonus points.
