- Whitechapel – How do you define Journalism? – This is a nice discussion underway on the WhiteChapel forums. Personally, I've always kept in mind a few catch phrases that remind what journalism *should* mean to me whenever I get a bit off-course: 1. "Journalism is the art of learning in the public eye." 2. "If, the more you learn about something, fewer people will talk to you – you're getting closer to the truth." 3. "There is no such thing as true objectivity in journalism, only the act of approaching a subject with an open mind."
