There’s something beautiful and brilliant about The Brothers Brick’s “Zombie Apocafest 2008,” a massive collection of LEGO scenes depicting undead legions swarming through cityscapes in a quest for human flesh. Whether it’s the homage to classic zombie films or the random scenes-within-the-scenes carefully planned throughout the brick display, this project is full of geek culture call-outs and in-jokes using one of the most nostalgic toys possible — and I love every inch of it.
