I think the first 15 seconds of this video is my favorite 15-second clip of any music video ever made. It kicks off with a super-earnest Eddie Vedder telling “Josh” (who the f’ is josh?) to turn down the lights because “it’s not a television studio, it’s a fucking rock concert” … and then culminates with Jeff Ament flying across the stage to the opening chords of the song.
Seriously, folks — go ahead and try to find me a better 15 seconds of music video. I contend that such a thing does not exist.

I see your ploy — limiting it to 15s to exclude all the really kick ass extended intro videos.
I give you Blind Melon’s “No Rain,” Tupac’s “California Love,” Dinosaur Jr’s “Feel the Pain” and Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher.”
Incidentally that isn’t even the best sequence of this video. The best sequence comes later, when the dude climbs up into the balcony and starts playing.
Okay, just watched the first 15 seconds of all those videos, and I’m sticking by “Evenflow” on this one.
All of those videos have great opening scenes, but they all take more than 15 seconds to really hit their concluding beat. “No Rain” has a great 20 seconds, though – and would definitely be high on the list if the time was extended. The other three take way too long to develop, though, and are more like 30-second clips.
