About those “Batman: Arkham City” skins…

December 7th, 2011 by Rick · No Comments ·

Maybe it’s because I haven’t played Batman: Arkham City in a few weeks now, but I’m definitely a lot less excited about the new Batman skins now than I was when they were first announced a while back. I would’ve been much more likely to shell out the money for this pack when I was actually regularly playing — better yet, obsessing over — the game.

At this point, I’ve finished the main campaign and most of the side quests, and moved on to the next thing. Heck, it’s been so long that I’ve moved on to the next thing after the thing that followed Arkham City. (So many games, so little time!)

Still, I do like the Batman Beyond and The Dark Knight Returns costumes in this pack, and there’s something disturbing about seeing the Batman: The Animated Series version of the character choking out thugs and breaking kneecaps.

Given how much time has passed since I put the Batman: Arkham City disc back in its package, I probably won’t drop the money required for these skins — but I certainly don’t fault anyone who does. I think it’s great that they made these available, and only wish they’d done so a little earlier.

Frankly, I would’ve been all over this pack if it was available within the first week of the game’s release. Now? Not so much.
