With all of the fuss over the post-credits scene in “The Avengers” and what it means for the scope of the franchise, I got thinking about Marvel movies past and all of the great post-credits scenes those movies featured. Ever since Nick Fury introduced himself after the “Iron Man” credits rolled, Marvel has really planted their flag in the world of “secret scenes” and made it another great hallmark of their films.
So with that in mind, I put together a roundup of all the post-credits scenes in Marvel movies, from “Iron Man” to “The Avengers.” Obviously, there are spoilers here for anyone who hasn’t seen these films, so consider that your warning — and by all means, if you haven’t seen the films, don’t watch the video below that contains all of the post-credits scenes pre-“Avengers.”
Here’s an excerpt from my article:
Marvel used its very first post-credits scene to introduce the world to Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, who Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) finds waiting for him in his home after he tells the world, “I am Iron Man.” In a wonderful bit of foreshadowing, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. tells the billionaire superhero, “Mr. Stark, you’ve become part of a bigger universe. You just don’t know it yet.” The scene closes with Fury dropping the tease heard ’round the world: “I’m here to talk to you about The Avengers Initiative.”

I guess you can say that video assembled all of the clips into a nice package!
