Remember when I asked Frank Langella if Richard Nixon was more evil than Skeletor?

August 7th, 2012 by Rick · 1 Comment ·

I’m going to just come right out and say it, folks. This could be one of the greatest moments of my career.

While interviewing Oscar-nominated actor Frank Langella about his role in “Robot & Frank” (a new movie he’s in that’s absolutely fantastic), I finally had a chance to ask him the question that’s been burning in my brain since I saw him in “Frost/Nixon.”

It’s a question that scholars have pondered for, well… Actually, they’ve probably only pondered it for a few years now, and probably not that many scholars, but whatever… All that matters is that I had the chance to ask Frank Langella who’s more evil: Richard Nixon or Skeletor?

Here’s an excerpt from the article, with a video segment from our interview below:

As I explained that I wanted to ask him about the first role I ever saw him in, Langella spoke up before I finished my question.

“Skeletor?” he asked.

Given all of his dramatic roles over the years in historical dramas, thought-provoking science-fiction films, and various other movie and television projects that have showcased his talents, I asked him whether he ever looks back on playing Skeletor and, well… chuckles a bit at the relative silliness of it all.
