Earlier this month, I was paging through a catalog of upcoming comic books and couldn’t help but notice the flood of upcoming comics with “vs.” in their titles. There was Yeti vs. Vampire, Vikings vs. Werewolves, Pirates vs. Ninja, even — and I’m not making this up — Superman and Batman vs. Vampires and Werewolves.
